An Open Letter to Novel
Talk Authors
Dear Ones,
It was
with a certain amount of sadness that I
tendered my resignation last fall as review
coordinator and reviewer for I am leaving a
wide range of enjoyment I received while
reading your books.
As I
complete the tasks I need to do, one of the
most important is to tell all of you how
much I enjoyed reviewing for you, whether
you are one of the "new" winners or those
who have a long list of books to be proud
of. You have brought me laughter. You have
brought me tears. You have taught me about
areas I have never known and others that I
know well. And you have always given me
happy endings.
I am not only a
lover of books. I am a published nonfiction
writer, so I know the joy when a book or
article is published. I also know it is not
always easy. And being a life-long
"helper", I love to see others succeed, as
they reach goals they have placed for
themselves, . Above all, I have made
friends that I would never have known.
But though I
have really liked what I have been able to
do, I have something that I love to do. I
am, heart and soul, an artist, and at this
moment, I am stepping out to prove that I
can do as an artist, what all of you have
done as writers.
So I thank you
for this short journey in years with
NovelTalk, because it has been long in
enjoyment. I hope you wish me well, as I
wish God-speed to you all.
Lucele Coutts.
