GETTING RID OF ROSIE by Lynda Simmons
Contemporary
August 2009 - Berkley
When an old flame, Michael, walks in off the streets and into Samantha Marcello’s newly opened Irish pub, it’s like fate has given her another chance at love. They were perfect together six years ago, that is until Sam got the biggest surprise of her life - Rosie, Sam’s best friend at the time, was pregnant by her perfect Michael. Turning the shock on full blast, Michael and Rosie get married, leaving Sam in the midst of the worst heartbreak ever.
Fast forward to present time, all the “what ifs” that Sam harbored went up in smoke when she heard that Rosie had died two years before. Sam knows she wants to explore a relationship with Michael, but the only problem is Rosie. Rosie just can’t seem to let go and is haunting Michael and their daughter, Julie. She is constantly whispering in their ears which influences their thoughts and actions. Mysteriously, the only one that can see and hear Rosie is Sam, and she has decided she won’t be scared away this time. Can Sam beat Rosie, save Michael and Julie, and hold her life together amidst the chaos?
Hold on to your socks ladies, because this book won’t let you put it down until the very last page. Every single character is perfect in their own way, each detail painting a picture that you can almost see and hear. GETTING RID OF ROSIE is so good; you will want to read it over and over.
